C&C Ancients - Gabiene (2):Only played a single game against a very good opponent. I played Eumenes and scored 3 banners, hoping to get better with Elephants next time. Mental note: elephants are good against hvy inf!

Still addicted to C&C:A. Each game is 2 plays.

Apart from TS, all of theses games are from Don Bone’s collection and were played at Cancon.

Twilight Struggle (2): Always fun, such an excellent game. Help a great deal to be familiar with the cards however.

Odin’s Ravens (2): Pretty good little game, maybe a little too light however. Need to play more

Odin’s Ravens (2): Another game, the Raven can really move as you develop better strategies.

Babel (2): Fairly good, deep game. My only concern is with the luck of the temple draw. Still, I’m keen to pick this one up.

Pickomino (3): Good, fun, light game.

Pickomino (3): Had to play again it was that much fun.

Buy Low Sell High (3): Wow, much better than I expected. Lots more going on than first meets the eye, looking forward to playing again. Not sure how it would hold up in the long run though.

Twilight Struggle (2): Aldrich Ames killed me in the Late War. I was at 18VP and just about to take the game. Next time.. I’ll remember.

Domaine (4): Pretty good game here, still have not played a bad Tauber game yet. This just reaffirming how great the man is.

BattleLore(2): Played scenario 2, good fun. MY experienced opponent took this easily.

BattleLore(2): Played scenario 2. A close game, finally won by two flags.

C&C Ancients Scenario 10 - Jaxartes(2): Played Alexander and managed to win with by 3 flags. Very Difficult on the Scythian played.

Back in to C&C: Ancients and working our way through the Expansion #1 scenarios. Played once then once again with sides swapped.

I’ve been playing online so much lately I thought it would be a good idea to start recording plays.

BattleLore (2): Won my first Vassal game against a new player. Plays OK online but not even close to live.

BattleLore(2): Against a more experienced player. Much, much tougher.

BattleLore(2): Taught another player how to use Vassal, so far this month three people have been coaxed into learning the online interface. More opponents!!

BattleLore(2): Another Vassal game but a very close loss. The standard of play online is quite good.

Eastfront (2): Just finished a game against Doug. We started with the Summer ‘41 scenario which ended in a draw so continued to Winter. Great fun but very hard on the German player.

Twilight Struggle (2): First Vassal game of TS. Wow, great fun.

Twilight Struggle (2): Second TS game after swapping sides. So far the USA have won both games. Looking forward to figuring out the USSR strategy.

Combat Commander (2): Played the first scenario. Just went OK, struggling through a few rule problems. Kinda fun.

Imperial (6): First play of Imperial. I lost my country early and was left with no cash. The game seemed to work ok.

Combat Commander (2): First scenario, second play of CC. Had much, much more fun this time around.

Combat Commander (2): A four hour marathon with the second scenario. Just way way too long for this sort of luck-based game. Still holding out on giving it a rating until I get more plays in.

Imperial (5): Second game of imperial and again I’m cut out of the game.

Imperial (5): Third play with the advanced rules and finally the game works. Great stuff!!

Traders of Genoa (5): Always love playing this. So interesting trying to evaluate all the options. Love this game.

Blood Bowl (2): Love this game, first time I’ve played it face-to-face and it’s great. Looking forward to trying it in league one of these days.

Ticket to Ride Europe (2): Hate this game, one of my few 3/10 ratings on the geek. I appreciate it’s a great gateway game etc. but for me personally it’s just a card draw fest. Just not enough meat on the bones!
